Terms and Conditions

Eligibility:
- This competition (the "Competition") is open to residents of Australia only.
- Entrants must be 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.
- Employees of Solkatt Designs, their immediate family members, and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation or judging of the Competition are not eligible to participate.

Entry Requirements:
- To enter the Competition, participants must make a purchase from www.solkattdesigns.com (the "Website") during the Competition period and submit a story of 250 words or less about the funniest thing that has ever happened to their dad.
- The Competition runs from 5/08/2024 until midnight 23/08/2024 AEST.
- There are no restrictions on the type or value of the purchase required to enter.
- Multiple entries are allowed, provided that each entry is associated with a separate purchase.
- Discount codes may be used on purchases, and these purchases will still qualify for entry into the Competition.
- Each story must be unique and submitted via the method specified on the Website.

Content Guidelines:
- All stories must be G-rated. Any content deemed inappropriate, offensive, or not suitable for all audiences will not be considered for sharing on Solkatt Designs' social media platforms.
- Stories must be the original work of the entrant. Plagiarism or any form of intellectual property infringement will result in immediate disqualification.
- Solkatt Designs reserves the right to edit stories for clarity, grammar, and length. However, the essence of the story will remain unchanged.
- Solkatt Designs reserves the right to refuse any entries that do not comply with these guidelines or the spirit of the Competition.

Privacy and Sharing:
- By entering the Competition, participants agree that Solkatt Designs may share their stories on its social media platforms, using only the entrant's first name and surname initial for identification.
- If participants do not wish for their story to be shared publicly, they must inform Solkatt Designs at the time of submission. This request must be made clear in the entry email or accompanying message.
- Solkatt Designs is committed to protecting the privacy of its customers. Names and other personal details can be altered upon request to protect the privacy of the individuals involved in the stories.
- Solkatt Designs will not share or sell any personal information provided by entrants to third parties for marketing or other purposes.

Prize Details:
- The grand prize consists of a 900ml Jagged Edge Whisky Decanter and a set of 9 Whisky Stones (the "Prize"), valued at $100.00 AUD.
- In addition, every purchase enters participants into a draw to win a 900ml Jagged Edge Decanter and set of 9 Whisky Stones.
- The Prize is not transferable, refundable, or exchangeable for cash or other products.
- Solkatt Designs reserves the right to substitute the Prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.

Winner Selection:
- The winner of the grand prize (Jagged Edge Whisky Decanter and Whisky Stones) will be selected based on the funniest story as judged by a panel of judges appointed by Solkatt Designs.
- The winner of the draw for the 900ml Jagged Edge Decanter and Whisky Stones will be chosen at random from all eligible entries.
- The decision of the judges and the random draw is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
- Winners will be notified via email on 24/08/2024.
- Winners must respond to the notification email within 7 days to claim their Prize. Failure to respond within this timeframe may result in the Prize being forfeited and an alternate winner selected.
- The Prize will be express posted at Solkatt Designs' expense. Solkatt Designs will endeavour to have the Prize delivered by Father’s Day on 1/09/2024; however, once the Prize has left Solkatt Designs, delivery is subject to Australia Post's delivery timeframes.

General:
- Solkatt Designs reserves the right to modify or cancel the Competition at any time without prior notice. Any changes to the Competition will be communicated to participants as soon as possible.
- By participating in the Competition, entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
- Solkatt Designs is not responsible for entries not received due to technical issues, including but not limited to server failures, lost, delayed, or corrupted data transmissions, or any other issues that may cause an entry to be lost or not properly recorded.
- Solkatt Designs is not responsible for any damage, loss, or injury resulting from participation in the Competition or acceptance and use of the Prize.
- This Competition is governed by the laws of Australia, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.

Limitation of Liability:
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, Solkatt Designs shall not be liable for any indirect, special, or consequential damages, or any loss of revenue, profits, or data, arising in connection with participation in the Competition.
- Solkatt Designs' total liability to any participant for any claim arising out of or relating to the Competition shall not exceed the value of the Prize.

Force Majeure:
- Solkatt Designs shall not be liable for any failure to comply with its obligations where the failure is caused by something outside its reasonable control. Such circumstances shall include, but not be limited to, weather conditions, fire, flood, hurricane, strike, industrial dispute, war, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, inevitable accidents, or any other circumstances amounting to force majeure.

Additional Terms:
- Solkatt Designs reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process or otherwise attempts to undermine the legitimate operation of the Competition.
- Any attempt by an entrant to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of the Competition may be a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should such an attempt be made, Solkatt Designs reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law.
- Solkatt Designs' failure to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.

Acknowledgment:
- By entering this Competition, participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
- These terms and conditions constitute the entire agreement between the participants and Solkatt Designs in relation to the Competition and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, representations, or warranties, whether written or oral, relating to the Competition.
